Petite Fleur, Evan Christopher, Les Victoires du Jazz 2009 (Sidney Bechet) 

Evan Christopher performing Sidney Bechet's Petite Fleur with the Pierre Christophe trio. This tribute to Bechet was a part of France's 2009 jazz award show, "Les Victoires du Jazz." It was broadcast on France 3 television on September 3, 2009. Evan CHRISTOPHER (clarinet) Pierre CHRISTOPHE (piano), Raphael DEVER (bass) Mourad BENHAMMOU (drums).
  NPR awards Evan the Central Time Zone live broadcast for their annual New Year's Eve celebration "Toast of the Nation."  Donna's Bar & Grill hosts the show featuring Tom McDermott, Matt Perrine, and Shannon Powell 
  December, 2008:
Paris record company Fremeaux & Associates re-releases "Django à la Créole" in their catalog.  The CD is included among the top 10 Jazz CD's for 2008 in the London Times.
 
  October 26, 2008:
Evan's group performs for the New Orleans Saints game in London.
  April 21, 2008:
With pianist Tom McDermott, Evan receives a "Big Easy" award for "Best Traditional Jazz Artist"  
  April 21, 2008:
As a feautured soloist with the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Evan performs for President Bush during a summit of the North American leaders in New Orleans.
 
  April 11-13, 2008:
Evan debuts "Django à la Créole" in the U.S. with performances at the French Quarter Festival in New Orleans

  April 2008: 
"Django à la Créole's" self-titled CD is released to critical acclaim with four star reviews in the London Times, The Scotsman, and Jazzman magazine (Paris). 
  January 2008:
Evan accepts an invitation to coach a student ensemble performing New Orleans style jazz at the University of New Orleans. 
  December, 2007:
Evan included in the Downbeat Critic's poll among the Rising Star Clarinetists. 
  December, 2007:  
"Delta Bound" gains critical acclaim with four stars (out of five) in Downbeat, a review by Nat Hentoff in Jazz Times, by Ben Ratliff in the NY Times, and included in the Village Voice's Top 50 CD's for 2007. 
  December, 2007:
Evan officially moves back to New Orleans.
  September, 2007:
Arbor's Records releases Evan's CD "Delta Bound" featuring Dick Hyman. 
  August 2007:
Evan debuts a new project, "Django à la Créole," at the Haugesund International Jazz Festival. 
April, 2007:
The "JazzTraditions PROJECT releases their debut CD in the United States in New York and New Orleans. 
  August 18, 2006:
Evan's "JazzTraditions PROJECT records their debut CD, «Introduction: Live at the Meridien» in Paris. 
  July 2, 2006:
Evan performs at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Ahmet Ertegun's tribute to his late brother Nesuhi.
